AVCHD format and HD monitoring

I do have a FCP V5 but I am planning to by a Panasonic HMC150 with SD card recorder. The problem is the capture files, the FCP V5 only comes with Log and Capture function. I s there any way I can capture the SDHC files to FCPV5 ?

Also, how can I monitor the HD video from my FCP to HDTV? What do I need?

Hi Rey,

I know several people who use 'Video Pier' to bring the video from the memory card to the desktop as ProRes. They then drag the video into their capture scratch folder and work with it from there. I have never tried this, but it might be a way to go.
