We need all of your info. What Mac, how much ram, what version of FCP, QT and the Mac OS? Need to know about your media drive, and how full?

What format are you rendering, what are you rendering. How are you rendering?

Imac 2.8ghz 2gb ram running Final Cut Pro version 5.1.4 750gb Hard Drive, 300gb left. Mac OS X leopard. I am rendering SD & HD Video ( though not in the same timeline or project). does that give you something to work with?
