Suddenly..."File Error: Access Denied" on all render attempts

I'm running FCP 7.0.3 on a dual-core IMac.


Very odd and frustrating problem. Almost done with my project and now, suddenly, anytime I try to render anything I'm getting the ol' "File Error: Access Denied". I'm working on a sequence I duplicated and thought it might have something to do with that but when I try to make a change that requires rendering in the original sequence, the same problem and error message occur. I've tried rebooting to no avail. Any help appreciated!

Problem solved...someone suggested resetting the scratch disk. I did. It worked.
