viewer window problem

I have FCP 6.0 I seem to have lost the ability to scroll through footage in the viewer window, it goes white when I try to scroll through footage, very annoying.. any ideas what to do?

Have you tried re-booting?

Does re-booting require more than turning it off and on again? if so , I have tried that.

Make sure the Viewer window is set to RGB. It sounds like you may have inadvertently set it to Alpha.

That worked!! Thank you so much, I can't believe how long I have been struggling with this issue.. You are the best.. thanks. Now I am trying to figure out how to do some multicamera editing - yikes.. there was a good article on the site so hopefully that will do it.. Glad I found the Ken Stone site. I so appreciate you being there. Trish
