Focus Pictures After They Are Taken (Off Topic)

This is an amazing camera that is available now. Imagine taking a picture and changing the focus after the fact.

After reading all the articles and the company's website, it seems that you take normal pictures and then you can choose areas of the picture to apply the focus. You can have a foreground subject in focus and if you want to change the focus to the background you just point to it. It only works with the Mac at this point with OS 10.6.6. I just thought I would bring it to everyone's attention just in case someone might be able to use it to their advantage. It's a very interesting concept and who knows what our future cameras will be able to do.

I think it's pretty cool and would be inclined to try one out if the price tag weren't so hight right now. For that kind of money, I can get a very decent pocket camera or even camcorder, more useful to me for family stuff right now. Someday, though, I could see having one of these to tinker with... especially when they can drive the focus in an iPad-compatible viewing app.
