Editing Tips?

Greetings All,
Need assistance in editing a particular scene. Action scene shooting from shoulder mounted HD camera. Inadvertently captured some equipment in shot. Any way to remove in edit? I have created a push-in by resizing screen then returned it back to 16:9 @ 1:85:1 ration to maintain the widescreen feel. Any ideas folks?
