Re: New imac - External audio hook up.

I now have a new 27in. imac and I am wondering how is the best way to hook my audio. I have Mackie speakers and a Mackie 1402 mixer. With my old MacPro I would run these through my tape deck. I would still like to use the mixer with my new system, so I am wondering what IO box anyone would recommend.

No. Believe it or not, most of my work is still SD (DVCam) that I capture over Firewire. But I sometimes also use EDCam EX (HD) from SxS cards via a USB card reader.
