Re: DVD Pro Button Problem
DVD Pro Button Problem

Caleb
I am having a problem I have never had before. (I am using Final Cut Studio 7)
I created a DVD and made a menu for it. I didn't really need a menu, but it has a title and a play button, no chapter menus. The play button is connected to my movie, so when I press it on my computer it starts playing the movie. However, when I look at the controls on the "Simulate" function, the play button is grayed out. When I export the movie and play it on my computer, no problems. But when I try to play it in a DVD player, the play button doesn't light up, and no matter what play button I hit on my DVD remote, or on the actual DVD player, it won't play the movie. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks
Caleb
Hi Caleb,
Is this how you have created the link between the play button and the movie?
Add button template to menu page
Drag video + corresponding audio from browser onto the button, select "Create Track, connect to track" in the options window
A new track is created and a track icon is added next to the menu icon in the inspector window. A double-sided arrow connects the menu icon and the track icon, indicating that the menu will return to the active button when the movie ends.
Best wishes,
Ronny

Look in the much neglected Connections tab, then it all becomes logical.
