Hi Mitchell,

As always, good to hear from you. I'll be checking around.

It's a minor update, mainly to address a crucial bug that was introduced with 10.1.2 affecting exports when using Paste Attributes in the timeline, and to fix certain problems with DVD, BluRay and disk image burning. The automatic Backups system has been improved as well, so be warned that updating FCP X will also update your Libraries. I have jumped in as soon as it got released and I have experienced no problems so far.

Best wishes,

Ronny

EDIT: better not update immediately.

Although I have no problems on my test machine we have received reports of automatic Library backups causing problems for certain users. As the only solution so far seems to be to disable backups entirely I think it may be better to wait until we figure out what is happening.

Best wishes,

Ronny

Hi Ronny,

Thanks for the heads up.

I had no issues with the pasting color corrections from clip to clip not "sharing" properly (real men "export") in 10.1.2, but 10.1.3 seems fine for me as well. I believe that 10.1.2 must have also had the Library back-up issue that 10.1.3 supposedly has because I would always see the symptoms. I just assumed my Mac Pro (late 2013) was too slow and my RAID was also too wimpy. I know for sure that my RAM is too wimpy (only 16GB.)

As long as you keep your backups on the system drive everything seems to be fine. Backups on external drives don't seem to work. It is possible that this was already the case in 10.1.2 as well, I don't know. As all our media and Libraries are stored externally we always keep our backups on the system drive, so I did not notice any problems before.

Best wishes,

Ronny
