Installing FCP 6 on new Imac i7 with FCPX installed

Greetings,
I have been running FCP 6 for many years on my MacPro.
I just received my new i7 3.5 imac with 32 gig memory. It came with FCPX installed. I plan on learning FCPX and weaning off of 6. However, I have several recent fcp6 projects that I would like to access on the new imac.
Is it possible to load the fcp6 studio on my new Imac so I can access and edit the projects?
Will I be able to access DVD Studio Pro from FCPX?
