keyable elements Motion 5 > FCP X

I'm struggling with how to build a shape and text object, such as a corportate logo, over keyable black in Motion 5 that I can properly export to FCP X to key over video in my timeline. I'm unsure of which keyer to use in FCP X. Help, please!

You shouldn't need any keyer in FCP X.

In Motion 5 set your Viewer background to "Transparent" so you can see how the shape and the text object will look on a transparent background. Then add the logo and the text to your Motion timeline (see screenshot 1).

Then select Share > Export Movie and export your Motion 5 project as ProRes 4444.

Import the ProRes 4444 file in FCP X, drop it above a clip or a background in the timeline and it will automatically be keyed over the clip (see screenshot 2).
