Re: Need Help for my Doc Project

OK, let's see if I can explain this well. I have a short documentary we have been working on and that exists as one Project in one Library.

In another Library, I have a Project that is an interview done on green screen.

The green screen interview in FCP looks great! Now, I need to take various sections of the green screen interview and create short clips that I can insert into the timeline of the Documentary project.

This is where I am totally lost!

I have tried to use the blade, cut the section of the interview, along with the background used in the chroma key, and then copy and paste that section into the Doc timeline but if I then try to add a transition (fade-to-color) it will not work.

I know there must be a very simple, effective and clean way to do this - to "collapse" the interview subject with the chroma key background into one clip that can be transferred to the other timeline.

I would really appreciate some advice on this, trying to finish this up in the next couple of days!
