Hi, humble apologies for the delay in my answering the excellent help.... It just passed by me.

Anyway, thanks to Greg, Ronny & Craig. I shall take on your advice, and looks like I can either go for a modern iMac, or recent MacPro.
I still only will use FCPX by choice. My friend that I film with uses PC's, and is trying to get me to use Prem. Although I started out with Prem years ago, and it is a good program,,,,, I find FCPX far more intuitive and the on board filters / plugins matched with brilliant control are second to none.

One thing I cannot figure out is he is hell-bent on switching the cameras to 720p, instead of 1080...... must get around to asking why......
