Markers from FCP to Motion

Hi all.
Pretty basic question. I am editing my footage first, then want to put all the motion in after my first edit. I am using FCPS 7. I want to make a marker in my footage, then send it all to motion. The problem that I'm running into, is that my markers are not showing up in Motion. Is there a way to get my markers to cross over so I can see them in Motion?
