Re: Release of new OS-Yosemite vs. FCP 7

Re: this week's Apple press conference: Will it include the announcement of the release of the new OS, Yosemite? I'm concerned because I am in mid-project on a long film which I began cutting a year ago on FCP 7. I tried the XML import of the sequence into Adobe Premiere Pro and it didn't really survive the trip too well. So I think I really
need to finish the film in FCP 7. There are too many effects and bins with dailies from different shoots, sound effects, music, etc.

The big question is, of course, "Will FCP 7 run on Yosemite?"
I've spoken to Applecare tech support and all they will say is that the last few OS updates do not support FCP 7.

I've heard talk that FCP 7 did in fact run on the beta version of Yosemite.
Has anybody heard any more news about this?

Thanks for the input, Greg.

What I've done since Mavericks (on which my FCP 7 runs fine) is clone my boot drive to a separate drive as a backup should I have a problem when and if I install Yosemite on my main boot drive. I also have another hard drive which I keep as backup maybe I'll install Yosemite on that as a test.
