Thank you, Mitchell. This is weird indeed, but it's easy to fix.

You have a "Projects" event where all your Projects are stored, and a "Sullivan" event where you store all the media for the Sullivan Projects, is that correct?

If so: select the "Projects" event in your Library browser and just drag the non-project files from the Projects event into the Sullivan Event, this should do the trick.
