Hi Trig,
Are you doing this in FCP X? What exactly do you mean by a double blade cut?
Best wishes,
Ronny

Ronny, Yes, this is FCPX. I am referring to Shift-B, where you cut through all of the tracks at one time.

Okay, that's what I thought.
I just tried this and I don't see the problem you are describing. When I remove a segment of the timeline between two "Blade All" points I can put transitions between the cuts and I can ripple the cuts as well. Could you post a screenshot of the spot where you have made the cuts?
Best wishes,
Ronny

Ronny, on the left is single blade cuts on each track.
On the right is a shift-blade cut-all.
I can Ripple cut and Transition the Video, but I cannot do it on the audio.

Ah, I see.
The audio channels are inside secondary storylines (inside a black box), probably because you have added transitions between the audio clips.
- When you blade the video and the audio clips individually you only cut the clips.
- When you do a Blade All you also cut the secondary storylines, which separates the audio clips inside them. That's why you cannot add transitions between those audio clips anymore.
So yes: if clips are inside secondary storylines you should blade them individually and not use Blade All.
Best wishes,
Ronny
