Re: Can't see video on Log and Capture Window

FCP 6.0.5, OS 10.4.11
Camera used: JVC GZ-HD7U
Video Out: 4:3
iLink out: DV
FW from camera to computer and camera is in camera mode but video is not being recorded onto an SD card, I'm just
passing the video through the camera straight into FCP.

I'm doing 8mm film transfer and my projector (that has variable control) went out but was able to use another projector (with no speed control) for final transfer and the part of the film transferred did not require any adjustments for flicker. The GZ-HD7U can be adjusted to 1/30 or 1/60 to eliminate flicker but I cannot see the video as it passes through the camera to the Log and Capture Window. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Have you selected 'non-controllable device"?

Yes, "non-controllable device" is selected. Not sure why the video is not passing through the FW cable from the
camera to the computer. Tom
