Footage in wrong format

Footage in wrong format (January 09, 2015 02:10AM) Rogue2x
Im currently working on a project that was a 2 camera shoot....the footage 2 different formats and is making editing very tough as i need to render continuously. Frame size is the same and both are H.264 format but the data rates are different as well as audio rate and audio format.

Could someone tell me what would be the best way to convert the footage to the same format while keeping quality at an optimum?

Thank you for any help you can pass along.

H264 is not an editing format. Convert all your clips to ProRes with Mpeg Streamclip prior to import to FCP then work in a ProRes timeline.
