New iMac Question

I am considering purchasing a new iMac and will install FCP 7. I would like to hook up and external NTSC monitor via the thunderbolt connector to HDMI. Is there any special breakout box to install between the computer and the monitor or can I use a adapter from thunderbolt to HDMI?
