Re: Trash Part of a Clip

Trash Part of a Clip (January 27, 2015 01:41PM) Kent
I shoot a lot of nature and a high percentage of what I shoot is not usable. Is there a way in FCPX to save only specific portions of a clip and trash the rest? Aperture allows this but the reviewing and trimming process is crude.

Thanks

Kent

Thanks Ronny, hopping that in the past year an addition would have been made to improve the situation.

Enjoy

Hi Kent,

No addition is needed, you can trim clips to avoid importing unusable footage.

Best wishes,

I hope this could be also of help:

Quicktime allows a simple way of shortening / dividing a clip; the result can be used in the same way in FCP as the initially recorded clip.

Cheers
