Disk Image from a Blu-ray disk

Disk Image from a Blu-ray disk (February 26, 2015 05:17AM) philsfilm
Hi Ken,

Do you know if I can make a Disk Image from a Blu-ray disk created in Compressor as I would be able to do with a DVD? Subsequently, will Disk Utility be able to make Blu-ray copies of the original Blu-ray?

Thanks,
Phil

How I do things.
In Compressor choose the Blu-ray disk option from the drop down window. Set up the encoding options, etc, etc.
Top left window where the video asset and selected pre sets are. To the right at the top it says "Create Blu-ray disk", click on that and a new inspector window will open. Select the "Job action" tab, then below where it says "When job completes" choose "Do nothing" from the drop down menu. Then send to batch.

This way, when the encoding is complete you can quit Compressor and go to the folder containing the original video and the Blu-Ray assets will be there also, which can be used over and over again in Toast to create BD's. I don't see an option in "Job Action" to save as a disk image.
