Purchasing Camera

Hi,

I'm sure there are a million forums about this, but I'm curious to know this forum's thoughts on buying a camera. I have a budget of about $7000 to get a camera to do shoots - mostly interviews and short docs - within my organization. I've heard a lot about the C100 but now see that it's been out a while. It's also hard to figure out how hard it is to use different cameras for editing, e.g. with Final Cut or Adobe Premier. If you had $7000 to buy a camera, for a combination of image quality, audio quality (I want dual XLR inputs), and ease of editing, what would you buy and why?

Also would welcome any recommendations on good tips for lights that are portable and effective and don't break the bank.
