Im trying to create a DVD using iDVD and have never run into this issue before...

"Unsupported file type: broken reference movie in"

Could anyone possibly shed some light on this and what i may be doing wrong?

It would appear that the source file you're trying to use in iDVD is corrupted or in the wrong format. Make sure you're using the proper format before importing the file into iDVD.
