Hi Mitchell,

This can happen when you have Background Rendering turned on or when you have re-rendered the same clips over and over again each time you have made some changes to the clips. This results in a bunch of obsolete render files for the same clips, which can cause the application to lose the connection to the correct render files.

You can solve this by deleting all render files for the Project, then re-render the timeline if you really need rendering.

The best way to avoid this from happening is to always have Background rendering turned OFF and to only render clips when really needed. If you can play your timeline without rendering there is no need to render at all.

Best wishes,

Ronny

Hi Trig,

1. True. Rendering the timeline and then sharing it to a master file will take longer than exporting without rendering.

But there is an exception (there always is one):

When you work on a Project with loads of effects, titles or generators and you share it unrendered and then you need to make an adjustment to one or more clips and you want to share the project again, the second share process will take up the same time as the first one. If you had rendered the timeline before sharing, the second share process would be much faster.

2. What Mitchell says.

Best wishes,

Ronny

Are the lost renders related to third party title templates?
