Re: Help Please! FCP7 To FCPX

Hello everyone, hope someone may be able to help me with this. I have an older FCP& project which I want to work on again in fcpx.

-The FCP7 project is ON MY DESKTOP where fcp7 is still installed on it. Project opens fine as it was never erased.
-FCPX 10.1.3 is ON MY NEW LAPTOP.

Is it possible to transfer this project on my laptop?
I would like to transfer the project, sequence and all the files included (video media, and audio).
Is it POSSIBLE?

So far I tried:
- downloaded 7toX and exported the XML from FCP7 and runed it through the 7tox Utitlity. I got a fcpxml file
This file was saved on my external disk which I use on my laptop for FCPX.
-It did not work!

When you say "It did not work", what exactly did not work?

- Did FCP X not open the XML at all?
- Did FCP X open the XML but you had missing media warnings?
- ...
