Re: Creating instagram video via Compressor

I have made in FCP X a 15 second video, I exported as a master file (pro res 422) and now I need to somehow get this to a 640x640 for instagram, but I haven't a clue how to do this in Compressor, can anyone tell me what to do?

I saw that article, it doesn't tell me anything about how to crop for 640x640....

I don't like the idea of cropping your video to 640x640, you would loose too much. I use fcp7, so I would set up a custom sequence at 640x640 and drop the exported sequence into that. That way you would have the whole frame, just smaller and with black bars top and bottom. Export again using current settings and you should be ready to go.

Just an idea...will instagram crop the video to 1:1 be default? I know pics will do.
