QT Movie emailed to iphone (August 17, 2015 01:30PM) Denise
I emailed a QT movie to my phone & only get the audio. What's up with that? Any help?

That's usually an indication that the playback device doesn't have the proper codec installed in order to play the file. What codec/format is the video that you emailed?

Thanks David. I just made it for the iphone & left it at that.

Hi Denise
First check all your settings (export or recording) to make sure it wasn't set for audio only.
Assume the QT movie plays both video and audio.
Also some ISPs limit the amount of data transmission. Could also just be a glitch, so try again.

If you have recent devices and are using Yosemite, you could use "Airdrop" to send the file from computer to iOS and vice versa. Airdrop uses either Bluetooth or WiFi to communicate between devices. It is not limited by file size and doesn't go through ISPs. Both devises have to be fairly close together or on the same WiFi network. Only 2012 or later devices work with Airdrop and only Yosemite/iOS8(?) and later support sending files between iOS and OSX.

Hope this helps, Greg
