Import M2T file into FCP X 10.2.2

I am trying to import and M2T file that was shot with a Sony Camcorder ( not mine) into FCP X 10.2.2.
I saw that compressor can be used to convert the file to a pro res file, but it was an old post from 2011 and didn't seem to work with compressor 4.1.3.

What is the best way to import this file?
