No video active on output

Hi everyone,

I might have a simple problem here - just cannot think of a solution :).

I have had my laptop sitting for a while not being used as I have a 27" imac for my main machine.

I went to use the laptop last night, and for some reason the A/V output selection within FCPX is dimmed.
Yet I can 'see' the output on the telly as a second desktop.

What's the format of the source video you selected? Make sure it is compatible with your FCPX. If not, you need transcode it to FCPX first.

Hi there Janedesting - thanks for the reply. Sorry for the tardiness in mine, forgot I had posted this!. Reminded myself as I posted a new topic.....

This was on my laptop, so will have to power that up and go through the setup again, see what happens.

From memory the source video was the standard (HD-1920x1080). But I shall confirm that.
