Re: VOB files from a DVD to digital file

Does anyone know a way to convert VOB files from a DVD to an H.264 or Apple ProRes digital file?
I've tried Streamclip to no avail.

I heave heard MPEG Streamclip no longer works in this regard under the more recent OSes. There's Handbrake which finally had it's first release (version 1) but I've never really cared for that as it doesn't give an option for ProRes so I consider it useless. What I would do is just hook the DVD player to your capture device (via component, at least), play the DVD and hit record on the capture software.
