Re: DVD Video Gone!!

A client gave me some small DVDs to work with. One is a Sony DVD-RW and shows a burn area on it but there is no video. When I place it in the DVD player a message says I have inserted a blank disk. How could this happen?

One of the curses of DVDs is that it's not uncommon for various discs to not be compatible with various players. DVD-RW may have more compatibility issues than DVD-R. You may need to try a few players or drives.

You may want to ask them to send you the source file directly..

Ask the client if he tested it (to work for him)

I tried it in both my Mac using three different drives, one stand alone DVD player and on my PC with no luck. I'll call them and find out more info. Thanks.

Thanks for the info. I'll pass that along to the client and have her try to finalize the disk. It's only one disk out the bunch she gave me.
