Re: Have trouble Exporting

Hey friends

I am editing an audio only project, and numerous times I have tried to export it as an mp3, and I keep ending up with short files. The project is about 22 minutes long, and all the exported files so far start at the beginning but then stop abruptly at various lengths... one is 6 seconds, one is a few minutes.

Any clues about what I'm doing wrong?

Macbook Air OS 10.11.6

One possible extra clue, btw, is that each time I try to export it again, I have to quit FCP and relaunch it. If I don't it seems to get stuck and doesn't do anything.

Just updated FCP to 10.3.4, still having the same issue.

did you try to export to aiff or wav? if it works use compressor to make mp3 file.

FCP doesn't do well with MP3 files - importing or exporting. Instead, export as an AIFF file, then use the AIFF file in iTunes to convert to MP3.
