If you just export to AIF with the default setting of "Channel Grouped," you'll get that. Choose "Stereo mix" and it won't happen.

Oddly enough, I tested this theory with multiple channels of audio and still only got a "1-2" using Channel Grouped (and it opened in Soundtrack Pro as just a two-channel audio file).

I'd have thought I'd get a "1-2," a "3-4," and a "5-6" as individual groups of channels... so I'm not entirely sure what purpose this all serves.

Export using Quckitime and choose AIFF and set to 48Khz 16-bit BEST quality and you'll be good.
