Re: AVCHD to mp4

I have a video recording in AVCHD. I have tried converting it with Wondershare, UniConverter and a few others. Nothing seems to work. I have watched the footage in the camera and all looks as it should. I cannot get it into FCP7, I can't convert it using MPEG streamclip. Any suggestions on what I should do would be appreciated. Thank you.

Buy FCPX which handles AVCHD directly.

You may have to pull the files out of the AVCHD container to try to transcode but that opens the door to other issues.
There's Compressor and HandBrake.

Thank you, Craig. Appreciate your response. I ended up connecting the camera to my computer, selected the camera option using the Uniconverter and was finally able to get the footage uploaded. It's so important to me to have a life-line like Ken Stone's discussion group. Thank you again.
