Re: Need to convert .mkv so I can use in FCPX

I just received some footage for a project but it's .mkv. In poking around on the web I see there are some possibilities for converting it. I was wondering what folks here would recommend as safe and effective for doing this. And are any of the options free? ....just wondering....
