Hi Folks. In FCP 5.1.4 I'm trying to render a video file which was delivered to me as Mp4 and I converted to Quicktime. It renders about half way then I get the general error announcement.
Any suggestions?

I did. And, it being a rather long file, I sliced it into 5 min. segments and they rendered one at a time. Weird.

I'm wondering why you couldn't work with it as Mp4.

Wouldn't import at all as Mp4.

Really? Wow. I'm running FCP 10.5.4 and I'm able to import Mp4.
As longer as you can work with it in Quicktime, you should be OK.

You're using FCP-X

The legacy version of Final Cut Pro (through v7) do NOT work natively with MP4 files and must be converted prior to importing to a format that FCP worked with natively.

David, You're alive! Not on FB and didn't reply to an email I sent I feared something bad had happened. I'm relieved.
