Can FCP X import and handle XAVC files?

Hi Ken,
Does anybody happen to know if FCP X can import and handle XAVC files, specifically Sony FS7's UHD 3840 x 2160 10-bit 4:2:2 XAVC-Intra? If so, does to make sense to transcode to ProRes 422 or proxy?
Thanks,
Phil

XAVC Intra and XAVC-S yes as I understand it.
XAVC-L probably not until the next FCPX and/or ProApps codecs update.

Just did the download of the plug-in and imported the XAVC Intra UHD files. Everything went fine. I did not notice that whether or not I checked "optimize media" a transcoding process in FCP X took place. Also, the imported files were the same size, "optimized" or not.

So if optimized - that means the XAVC would be transcoded/compressed? What format would it be transcoded to? Is the target codec Apple ProRes like iMixMXF does?
