reducing GB size

I have two 60 second videos (plus change). They are both around 1.2 GB when I export them as QuickTime movies. They are 1920X1080.
Is there a way to export them out of FCP7 to make their size smaller?
Thanks,
Margo

Margo,
In Share > Export File > Settings, you have the option of choosing H.264, have you tried that?

I have not. I'll give it a go now. Thanks Ken.

At the bottom right of the Settings window there will be a file size estimate that you can check before export.

Ken -
When I used the settings in the email above, the videos were squashed.
Any suggestions? This is FCP7.

Thanks Ken.
I ended taking it to my desk top exporting it from there and for whatever the file size was much smaller.
Weird world of video.
You always give me confidence.
