working with XDCAM EX media and in addition I have some SD clips that I need to use
but I want to render the XDCAM as ProRess
my question is, what would be the workflow?
edit both formats in XDCAM time line then render in ProRess? what would that do to the SD material (DV PAL)?

In Sequence setting, General tab, you can select ProRes 422 as your 'Compressor'. Now, whatever you put into the timeline will exist and be rendered out as ProRes 422.

Is your EX video NTSC or PAL? You'll have to test to see what the DV Pal looks like.
