As I wrote earlier, I am looking to purchase a new imac, but I really don't like the monitor! I'm used to my old flatscreen imac with the matte screen. The new one reflects everything, why would they have that for artists creating??
I believe you can buy a third party scree cover solution to place over the screen. At least they have that for the glassy Macbooks. Check google or even... dare I suggest...BING? ;-)

What is BING?
Can imacs work with third party monitors? I don't get why Apple would design such a shiny screen.
Ah, BING is the new Microsoft search engine. I was being a bit goofy there, that's all. I don't know if the new iMacs can work with third party monitors, but I'd think the matte cover would be cheaper and more practical than buying a whole separate monitor.

I don't know anyone who likes the shinny Mac monitors.
