Capturing but keeps aborting

Even though I've unchecked the Abort options in my User Preferences, capturing stops every 10 seconds. Error message is: Capture encountered a problem reading the data on your source tape - could be due to a problem with the tape. Capture has been aborted and your clip has been saved.

Footage was shot on DVCPRO tapes. I'm using an SD93 to capture (from a rental house).
Any suggestions how to get this in?

FYI - I found a setting in the capture - needed to be set for DVCPRO 50. Now it's gobbling up the tape.
