Extended Journaled (OT)

Hi Ken,

Is there a way to turn (Journaled) Off? Without re-formatting?

I went to drag my Disk utility page to another part of my screen and Clicked on the "Enable Journaling" by mistake, and can't find a way to reset the drive except copy 400gb to another drive, Re-format the drive that has journaling enabled and copy back.

The drive is a scratch drive, my boot drive has journaling on.

Mac OS X 10.5.7

QT 7.6.2 Pro

Hi John,

Sure is.

Open Disk Utility and select the drive in the left hand column. Hold down the Option key and from the File menu > Disable Journaling.
