720 HD 24p to PAL standard.

What is a good workflow for original 720 HD 24p footage to PAL standard.

Convert final edit with compressor ?

I was wondering if by originating in 720 HD it would pay to edit it into a pal sequence. Hence taking advantage of the 720 scan lines of resolution, or another way of looking at it, downscaling.
