JVC Taiyo Yuden DVD Blanks

I burned a DVD using my original Taiyo Yuden DVD blank and then put it in my duplicator. I placed 3 JVC Taiyo Yuden blanks in the duplicator. (blanks are 8x). The 3 JVC blanks ended up being bad. The next master DVD was burned using the JVC Taiyo Yuden and the 3 duplicated DVDs were good. Not sure if it was a fluke or the master and blanks have to be exactly the same.
