was given footage with 4 tracks of mono audio and I'm not sure why (October 23, 2010 04:40AM) Deanna
Hi,

I'm editing DVCPRO HD for a friend. The files are .mov and all the clips have 4 tracks of mono audio. Is this usual? Can I delete a couple tracks in my timeline?

Thanks,
Deanna

Hi Deanna,

Yes, this is normal with DVCPRO HD, 4 tracks. You can delete audio 3 and 4. (I do).

Hi Ken,

Thanks again for your reply. I'll go ahead and delete those tracks.

Just make sure that there is nothing on them.

The Panny, 200, 200A and 170 all provide 4 audio tracks.
