was given footage with 4 tracks of mono audio and I'm not sure why

Hi,

I'm editing DVCPRO HD for a friend. The files are .mov and all the clips have 4 tracks of mono audio. Is this usual? Can I delete a couple tracks in my timeline?

Yes, this is normal with DVCPRO HD, 4 tracks. You can delete audio 3 and 4. (I do).
