Why the price disparity

Why the price disparity (July 04, 2011 11:57AM) Alexander
Hi Ken,
The Australian dollar is around US$1.06,
Apple actually charges more from the Aussie app store, (compare the two
screen shots). whereas it should be cheaper.
Go figure!

Cheers

They do it because they can and for no other reason. That's why they charge tax if you buy computers online at the Apple Store as well even when there is no need to charge tax to most states. I wonder if that tax really goes to tax or into Apple's pockets. They are a pretty shady company.

In Europe (euro areas) you can be rather sure to pay 1 euro for 1 $US equivalent in the USA Apple stores. And the true exchange rate is currently 1,4353 $ for 1 euro. Seems to be an (infectious) economic desease all over the world...

Or,

You happen to live in one of the greatest places on the planet.
(Things are just more expensive there)

Enjoy Yourself.
