iMac 24-inch 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 Gigs SDRAM, OS 10.5.5, FCP 5.1.4, QT 7.4.1
Hi Ken,
I just upgrded iTunes and I can't open it because it requires QT 7.5.5.
If I upgrade QT will it still be compatible with FCP 5.1.4?
If not can I revert to my previous version of iTunes?
Thanx,

Thanks Ken.
I upgraded iTunes but not yet QT. What I want to know is whether or not upgrading QT will adversely affect my FCP which is version 5.1.4.
If it will, I want to downgrade iTunes if that's possible.

Ben,
I have no way of knowing how your 5.1.4 FCP will react to QT 7.5.5.
Sorry.

Thanks. I just cloned my boot drive yesterday (with the old iTunes on it) I'll just clone it back.

Sounds like a plan.

I am still running FCP 5.1.4. with QT 7.6.9. without any observable troubles on MacOS 10.5.8. (McBPro).
Try updating Quicktime first to see if everything works before cloning back to the drive with the old iTunes. I imagine it will work fine.

Thanks for all the input, Guys.
Being a "nervous nellie" when it comes to my edit system, I cloned back as I left my office Friday.
However, given what Gypaetus and Joe have said I think I'll try that upgrade Monday and see what happens. I can always clone back again if things go haywire.
