Need all the info about your source clips and then check the Properties for this Project.

I don't think that this is the issue, but check to be sure that your Viewer window is set to 'Fit'.

Thanks for getting back to me Ken,

I got it! The source is 1280?×?720 Quick Time Movie file. I see the project properties are 720 x 480. I am used to FCP7 automatically changing the timeline to match. But I figured out how to change the properties and it looks good.

On the side, I am amazed what X does. It even knows that the original was shot on my Panasonic AG HMC150. But, I know there is a big learning curve ahead.

Hi Trig,

As you said, there is a learning curve involved. But you will notice that the more you work with this app the more you will discover its huge potential and speed.

Like Ken said, when you create a new Project you can make FCP10 set your project settings automatically based on the first clip you drop onto the timeline. Just like in FCP7. Enjoy FCP10 and if you have any questions we are here for you.

Best wishes,

Ronny
