FCP6 Quicktime Movie 4:3 instead of 16:9

FCP6 Quicktime Movie 4:3 instead of 16:9 (June 20, 2015 01:42AM) Andyc303
Hi,

I have a similar problem to one already discussed, but cannot use the cmd+J option to get the Quicktime movie to play in widescreen as this just plays the movie backwards the beginning (no 'Show movie properties' in the Quicktime Window tab ).

My version of Compressor no longer works with Yosemite, so I was trying to export a few clips I need for a conference by using the Quicktime Compressor option when I export from FCP6 (having already exported the 50 seconds or so of footage as a QT movie - which plays as widescreen as I would expect - at 180 mb it's too big a file). Whatever setting I use, the compressed movie plays in 4:3.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Andy

I've got the same problem with exporting to 16:9 too, and my file is also huuuuge. I've only used 12 jpegs and a Garageband track, and it comes in at under two minutes long, yet the movie file exports to qt at 2.9GB.
